About Our Instructor:

Melissa Madara came to discover yoga as a prayer and worship practice roughly 8 years ago, during a "dark night of the soul" - a season in which her relationship with God was complicated and strained. Through her practice of Holy Yoga, she discovered a way to pray with her body when words simply fell short.

Melissa is passionate about nurturing the spiritual journey both within and beyond the walls of the local church, through the traditional means of prayer, study, and song, as well as experiential means such as yoga and hiking (and blending together yoga with hiking!). Melissa is pastor of Bendersville and Wenksville United Methodist Churches, and received her 225-hour Holy Yoga Instructor certification in November 2018.
